Well done to Ieuan Cooke for taking our the Llantarnam Archery Club Handicap Trophy despite good performances from all of their new archers, especially Thea, Sam, Darren and Debbie, plus Jake.
Keith Brown, the tournament organiser, was personally very pleased to see records set by so many, and the performance of a number of young archers, some of whom were shooting in their first competition.
Keith would like to thank everyone who helped to get everything ready on the Saturday, especially Tony, Wayne, Jason, Darren, Ieuan, Debbie, Susan, Cheryl and busy bee Thea, plus Steve and Pete who came back later to finish the job. Also thanks to all who helped to put everything away, especially those of you from other clubs – much appreciated.
Special thanks on the day to Tony (who did a sterling solo job of keeping you all in order), Gail for manning the reception and scoring (and for missing the tennis final into the bargain), Wayne, Cheryl, Laura and Steve for their various roles in the working party.
As ever, a big thank you to Cheryl for all her help leading up to the day, and to Laura for a grand job as Lady Paramount.
And the final thank you to yourselves, the archers. We hope you enjoyed the shooting and encountered no problems.
Hopefully we will see many of you at our Mixed Herefords and Bristols in April. The entry form is available on our Calendar.
